Nigerian Singer Samuel Adepoju Absolutely Nails The Bhojpuri Hit Song ‘Lollipop Lagelu’

Samuel Adepoju, a Nigerian singer just went viral after he covered an Indian Bhojpuri song by the name of Lollipop Lagelu. And believe me, after listening to this awesome artisan over the course of last one year, this song is indeed a relief for our ears.

This Dhinchak artist Samuel Adepoju is a 26-year-old musician from Nigeria who has become a superstar overnight after his mildly autotuned cover of Pawan Singh’s Bhojpuri hit struck social media like a lightning bolt.

From Siddharth Slathia teaming up with the American violinist Kimberly McDonough to edited videos with Bruno Mars and Justin Beiber dancing to such songs- there is something about these covers that is deeply entertaining. And they are hard to miss as well, considering how many Indians are in the world to make it trend all the way from nth number to top ten in YouTube.

Named ‘Samuel Singh’ by many Indians, the artist is gaining popularity FAST, making us all wonder if there will ever be a live performance of the same.

Now that would be a treat to see!

The video has accumulated well over 6 Lakh views on Facebook in just a few days, along with more than 20,000+ shares (so far).

Samuel might not be an Indian. But his pronunciation is pretty good. And that is complimented by his beats and grooves, blending it really well with the mild voice effects (autotuned-ish, mainly) to give us the entertaining cocktail we deserve.

This viral video is already one of the highlights of this year (rivalled mainly by Dhinchak Pooja’s ‘Daaru Daaru Daaru’ and now ‘Dilon Ka Shooter Hai Mera Scooter’) and it is better than good. It’s a dance song to shake your hips on.

With so much attention from around the world and all the followers Samuel ‘Singh’ has gained, we are all in anticipation of what he might do next.

“Me personally, I would like him to cover one of Dhinchak Pooja’s songs and maybe he can make them better. Who knows! The sky is the limit here.”
